Kia ora. Welcome to our blog. Wahi Ako is a Year 3 and 4 class at Hornby Primary School. We are on a great learning journey this year. Measurement
We are learning to measure different things using a variety of measurement tools. We have been using rulers, measuring tapes and the trundle wheel.
Duffy Assembly
At the end of term 1 we were lucky enough to have Nathan Grey come and talk to us about his trip. He is a trained lawyer and freelance journalist. He has travelled all around the world and speaks multiple languages. Nathan has written some books. He gave us our Duffy Books.
Kelly Sports
In the last week of term 1 we had Kelly Sports visit us at school. We did some sports skills based on rugby, basketball and netball.
Print Making
We spent some time making print blocks that showed designs from some of the cultures from some of the in our class.
Mask Making
Towards the end of last term we spent some time designing masks. These masks had to show aspects of our culture.
