Writing Recounts
We have been learning to write recounts in past tense, that have a lot of detail. Geneva is very proud of her recount about being at Kylie's birthday. We hope you enjoy it.
We went outside and played on the trampoline and then we asked her mum and dad to play at the park.
Kylie was having a birthday party, I went to visit her.
It was fun at Kylie's birthday. I had so much fun playing on the bouncy castle.
Kylie shall we make your cake? Then we ate Kylie’s cake all up
We went outside and played on the trampoline and then we asked her mum and dad to play at the park.
Collaborative Learning
It is great to see everyone collaborating, while working on their chrome books. Here we are doing our topic work. We have just learnt to paste pictures into documents.

Visit From Swarm
Swarm Dance Crew came to our hall today. They did two hip hop dances. Swarm Dance Crew are part of an artist collective that does singing, dancing and art. It was amazing.
They are having a show on Saturday at 8pm at the Majestic Church on Moorhouse Ave. They will also be running hip hop lessons at the High School. They will start next Monday and details are at the school office.

Writing Time
At present we are learning to use our chrome books for writing. We have been writing a recount about seeing Elgregoe.
Here is Sky's recount for you to enjoy.
Elgregoe
On friday Elgregoe came to Hornby Primary School.
I really liked the honesty chicken because whenever you tell the truth he turns green but when you tell a lie he turns red. He wasn't a real chicken
It was awesome.
I also liked that he was a ventriloquist. He made Harvey talk and Reggie talk. The Harvey was so funny so was Reggie. Reggie was so funny.
He was copying Elgregoe with the words he said. He said that he was been bullied and said who to tell. Elgregoe said when you're bullied you have to not listen to them. Then he didn't listen to Elgregoe.
The boy without a middle was so hilarious. It was sad that I couldn't do that trick because I was too small. But it was still fun.
It was nice of the ventriloquist to show us one of his tricks. He put a bird in a box then disappear in the table. He did it two times. It was so amazing.
